Well, you can work those 14 with 10 off for a while, and then you have to take a 34 hour reset.
And with the new rules, that could easily turn into 42 hours or more if you have to start it too early.
If you get stuck doing the reset where you have no facilities or stores around you, it can get pretty hairy.

I would rather work around 8-9 hours per day so I never have to take that reset.

I had a gatorade run, the trailer only had two pins secure. The others were broke and wouldn't pop into place. Also had a trailer a few weeks back that had broken landng gear crank, actually it was the pipe that raises the opposite side of the crank handle is.

I feel you there and my wife surely does. We have three kids, one under 12 months and one on the way. It's tough but there is never a good time to be away from home. Hopfully he can get his experience in and get a local job ASAP. That's my goal.

it can happen eventually, I just started a dedicated today and I spent months trying to get it, just have to be patient and keep trying. I was close to giving up myself.

There are always new trailers near the border. Idk why. I went to drop at one broker and all the trailers were 08 or better. Most 11,12 Guess Mexico has high standards. then I had to convice and them to give me an mt. It was weird. Why would a broker who goes into Mexico need all those mts. LOL

a lot of those new trailers are coming from Mexico actually, sometimes they just take time to get ready to circulate within Swift.

I'd heard that Mexico has special requirements for the hinges on the doors of trailers going into Mexico, something that will make it much more difficult to take apart the hinges to take the doors off. It's an anti-theft thing.

Yeah, you have a good point there. On the other hand I have over 28 years overseas (One military, 27 civilian ) and haven't really seen the USA except from the air,
so I can do resets just about any where. Maybe I can do a good team later and not have to worry about resets by then.
Goal eventually is Tanker/Hazmat OTR Dedicated.
    Thanks for your info!

If you manage your time right you never have to do a reset.

You can take your hometime anywhere you want to. It does not have to be at your home terminal or your home address. Just know the zip code you want to be at, and eventually (LOL) you will get there!
