Is Swift orientation difficult? (Ocala)

It depends on whether you are experienced or going in as trainee.In my opinion orientation is mostly for people going out with a trainer.If you are going as a trainee class will be good as experienced it will not tell you much.1st day is drug test, physical also driving test then info on company.2nd more info for students and company procedures.3rd logs,safety if you have questions better ask during orientation otherwise you will need to go to driver manual.if you are verrrrrrrrrrry lucky you will get driver code and possibly a truck.Class i was in everyone was sent home to be called when driver coded and mentor or truck was available.You are not hired until you are coded while in orientation Phoenix is still doing back groung cks and employmet verifications.You will stay at motel double occupancy will feed you lunch better like chinesse food otherwise you will go hungry.Overall its not bad just lots of waiting.Good luck

There were a few test, but they were easy, basic stuff, hasmat, etc. just so they know you know the stuff.
We had a variety of food, not just Chinese, but guess it makes a difference where you go, i was in Lewiston ID for mine.

wish i was still driving. i really enjoyed it. but my body decided to act up and i'm outa luck working for a long while.

 

It was my first go around with trucking, i really enjoyed it. I was out with a Mentor, got 4wks in, 18K miles, came home for a couple of days last month and things just went south.
But what are ya gona do. Cant change what you cant control, all we can really control in life is how we react to situations.

I am glad i got to go and do what i did. I may not get the chance to see any of those places again.

Swift is a great way to get into trucking, or back into it, sure there are many bad reports out there, but i think like anything you get out of it what you put into it.

 

For the first day:

You will do your drug test first, then fill out the paper application, comdata cards issued, lunch, driving test, physical

Second Day:

Videos all day along with your hazmat test

Third Day:

Remaining paperwork, employment confirmation and numbers issued, and truck assignments

No problem. I would suggest you have everything done that your recruiter has asked. Also ask if any additional paperwork needs to be sent in.
