That's even the case with the ones we have that only go 10 miles from the yard. They're doing early volume deliveries before coming back for their regular loads.
Is the beverage side of trucking the only one that allows a "normal" work schedule??

Closest I ever came to 40 was 48 hauling fuel, 4on 3off. I was always signing up for extra days though.
-
Yeah, but don't you do Linehaul on the weekends though, making bank?
I got about 45-50 when I did P&D. I do P&D right now and I talked to a YRC driver, who was thinking about quiting, because he was only getting about 42-45 hours a week. My buddy at FXF gets about 45-50 as well. -
Sure....
....On the rare occasion anymore that I get one, instead of the dispatcher's favorites below me on the seniority list.Sho Nuff Thanks this. -
I'm putting in over 70 hours right now. It's PEAK season for us, but that big fat paycheck makes it all worth while.Diesel Dave Thanks this.

trucking is 60 hrs a week local and 70 OTR anything less and they aren't getting their money's worth. but hustling soda pop is a lot of work. decide what you want to be doing and look around ,put in an app, can't hurt to have references

I average right around 55 doing food service, haven't hit 60 in a few months

I work 42.5 hrs/wk with an occasional Saturday added to that. We have schedules starting around the clock. I picked the shortest & easiest trip. I get about 4-5 weeks off per year. The job is dedicated for a large carrier in the Southeast. No overtime pay, only straight pay for all hours & very good benefits.AnthonyM757 and HalpinUout Thank this.
