I read the front pages, I just like to update my laminated one every year, for me the cost of 35 to 40 bucks is worth it. It lasts all year, It sits on my passenger seat or between the seats and is durable in the unlikely event I set my coffee down and it leaves a ring, I can wipe the ring off easily.

Right now I have 2 laminated atlas's, one from 1999 and the other from 2009. So I am due for a new one in 2019, but I plan on retiring soon, so maybe another one is not for me. Shop around for prices. At one time Flying J was cheaper than Petro. Then Pilot was cheaper than Fying J. I never spent top dollar, I think around $29.00 for each. Laminated is the way to go for me as well. If you get a rewards card at all the truck stop brands, you may end up paying little to NO money for a new laminated atlas.

lol. I looked at the trucking GPS prices and had a little bit of sticker shock. I don't like a voice telling me what to do anyway.

Get the laminated one. When that truckstop burrito isn't sittin' too good, you'll be glad you had the laminated one.:biggrin_2559:

I wish I could own a laminated atlas. I drive so fast every time I roll the windows down the laminate melts because of the wind friction. Heck of a mess!

Just buy a regular atlas every other year or so and save your money. I can't see needing a laminated one unless you waller in a mud pit during rest breaks.

Laminated atlases are good for writing on. You can easily wipe off pen marks without defacing the map.
