I been working for 7 months I am ready to go on my own but I'm waiting for a year, what is a good company to start with to learn load board and negotiate with brokers, my goal is to get my own authority but I want to get some hands on with the board and get familiar with how brokers work....
Is the load boards hard to figure out..

You want to put in a few more years before you go out on your own. The industry according to Cass Index is in a what I would call a historic negative output right now. You would do well to continue to add to savings and get a truck cash outright when the time comes for you to do that.
Wespipes and Kurt Michaels Thank this. -

You need to know the exact pay structure that any lease MC offers you. Are they paying you cpm or percent of linehaul or percent of ratecon .. Who pays for fuel, who gets the fuel surcharge, what do you pay for insurance and which portion of it.. The bobtail or the liability and cargo... Etc etc etc.
Basically start looking at MC company offerings until you know what specific questions to ask and how to compare one with the other.
You are definitely NOT ready to go out on your own based on your simplistic questions.
You should try to make some trucker buddies to walk you thru. Buy lunches for info.. Youll get your moneys worth.BoyWander Thanks this. -

I thought I could lease on to JB or lands tar and learn from there the load board and getting familiar with brokers and start getting experience. ..they pay fuel charge I basically would be paying 800 for truck and escrow another 300 for there ins plates quelcom and so forth no trailer fee, I though that would be a good experience start for the next level
