You still never answered my question as to what "great" money is to you?
Trucks use fuel not gas.
Is the load boards hard to figure out..

Also, before you even start have $5k in a maintenance fund and add $1000 (minimum) to it every month, just in case. I will say it again, 7 months is not enough experience to just jump in. Everybody will try to take adventage of your inexperience. Dispatchers can be sleazy. Just last week I had a dispatcher tell me to "wait" for "an hour or two" until he figures out what to do because there was no empties at the yard I was at. Mind you, I'm leased on and driving local. Guess what? I dont get paid to wait. I either drive, get paid detention or go home. If you bend over once they will not get off you.

OK well I know starting out would be ruff but if I can get on load board and do 800 to 1000 a day at the end of the week I can pay Gas 1k then the 35% truck payment and there plate and is fees of 1k, I run about 2500 miles even in the beginning if after I pay these I come home with 1500 in the beginning until I get the hang of load board it's better than what I make850 running for company at 2500 miles.. I feel that's a better start. .as far as GREAT money 2k to 3k is great for me especially from what I'm making now..
