You could start by driving someone else's truck ...... And paying attention !

What's this fancy o/o language you speak of ?

Well let me point out something MACLANE, do you really think I am going to take time out of my day to click on your "list of resources" and find out what you have listed on there. I was providing my 2 cents by elaborating on what someone had previously posted, and making sure the OP knew how to acquire the book, OOPS SORRY THE AUDIOBOOK AND WORKBOOK TO BE MORE SPECIFIC.

Just like Rollin Coal said, is it against the law for someone to elaborate on a topic?

You haven't asked around enough and gotten to know people beyond reading their posts. I'm not worried about creating competition. For Christ's sake, there's a million registered carriers. One more isn't going to put me out of business. I'll gladly share everything I can. I just can't deliver it all at once, nor do I have the time to do that. I have my own business to deal with. And that knowledge will be different coming from various sectors of the industry. Or the same. It depends. See? Easy-peasy.

Re-read Marmonman's post a few times till you get it. The rest just enhances that, and most you will have to learn the hard way by doing, as well as footing the bill.

Umm.. no, he didn't. He asked how did established owner operators learned their business, not for information on how to become one.

Since your post didn't link to the book I wanted to let whoever read your post to know that the book you suggested is on my list along with the link to the book and also that it's actually an audio program with a workbook.

I agree, first hand experience is very important and so are non-trucking specific books. My comment regarding the OP not asking if he should become an o/o was because your post was as if it was another person asking if they should become an o/o or not. But this isn't the case for this thread.
