Is there a CB on the market that will scan through the 40 channels like a scanner and stop on a channel that is in use?

I don't think that they make such a radio. As a ham most of our radios will scan. But the cost is so much more then a CB set. like in the $700.00 and up range. I think that Icon has the IC-718 for 699.95(HRO). But then you can't use it with out a license. They don't transmit on CB freq.

Why don't you get a scanner? You can get them at a truck stop. I had a BC 7 that scanned CB channels.
