Shuttle driver. When I started in food service, I was a shuttle driver. Id run the empty pups up to the warehouse, 140 miles away. Had to wait a couple hours for the BOLs, but them id drive back to my home terminal. Then I went home. Shuttle drivers run at night. Route drivers run during the day.
I believe that every company that pulls pup trailers will have shuttle drivers. Just keep in mind that the route drivers make the money.lagbrosdetmi and David_Simpson Thank this. -
Lazy person looking to do an easy job while being lazy.
Sorry to break it down to anyone who thinks this crap is easy. Trucking at times becomes more tiring than physical labor. Especially when it's snowing icy and fogy at the same time and u have a delivery to make.Badmon, Lucky1346, CrappieJunkie and 2 others Thank this. -
I work about 45 hrs per week, but it's all night time driving and you've got to have 3 years OTR experience to get on.
