Our Local 104 had very specific rules for drivers being written up after being caught on the camera, and the backbone of the rule is that the camera has to be activated.
Well The Teamsters attorneys don't put forth rules based on tin foil hats. If that thing didn't record every second, they wouldn't need such a rule would they.

I've ripped off a few that were so impressive in volume and length of time that if they had been listening in I'd have gotten a message from Safety saying "Dude, nice one!"

I've ripped a few that would have melted any camera in the truck. I've put down my window and pitied the folks behind me.

Op, a hidden camera or microphone that is not disclosed to you would run afoul of many wire tapping laws, I believe federal but certainly many state laws while you are traveling through those states. If you run California a lot and they were doing that to you the civil lawsuit would probably have you set for life.

If it is so what? It's a excellent way to rant at dispatchers who do not do well. So and so is a bad worker, so and so is mean, and so on.

Walk into your company office building and eyeball anyone acting as if they actually heard you talking. You will have your answer.

Frankly who cares if the #### thing has ears... especially when you blab onto the internet for the freaking world to see. lol.

I used to do just that. I would sing to it and pick my nose.
But I know they can pull data from any time frame, cause we hung this neck bone that worked at one of the shippers.
Dude comes flying in, right at me, puts his brights on, zooms around and parks.

I didn't even have time to trip the camera, but I told safety boy when I got back to the yard, and that's when he told me the company that actually gets the video feed could send him any time frame.
    And they did.
Dude didn't get fired, but did get written up one of the loaders told me.

    Shock Therapy Thanks this.

Easiest one would be to pretend to make a phone call to a buddy telling him what you are hauling and where best to meet up so you can fake a hijacking and steal the cargo.

Make sure the cargo mentioned isn't something you are actually carrying and write out a script of sorts so you have an excuse that you are writing a screenplay for a trucker movie and was going over it with a friend to get their opinion.

Just in case they haul you in...or send a SWAT team after you.

Just download a bunch of noisy porn and keep playing it over and over. That'll keep them guessing...
