Is that fuel pumping thing still a law? When I grew up there long ago in Tualatin/Beaverton it was a thing. But I thought they did away with that. I do have to enter a special tax number when I pump at a Loves or whatever found in my permits book.

It really is man! I'm a California refugee & been all over this country, lived & drove overseas in a few countries, NOTHING compares to the drivers in Florida.

My experience was back in the 90's so they may have done away with that law since then. Oregon used to be a good state but looks like the whole west coast has gone extreme left.

It's too expensive to live there. I was born in San Francisco. Then my parents moved to Tualatin. Was too young to understand why my parents moved out of there into Utah. It was hard adjustment.

Salt Lake City and south has become a California dumping ground for escapees. That area is now known as the silicon slopes. They have driven housing prices up to almost triple what it was 5 years ago.

Not for commercial trucks at truck stops, but for passenger vehicles it is the law. Same in NJ, I believe.

I set my cruise control at 63, occasionally 64 but no more. They don't give you 5 over like most states, probably because they just recently increased the speed limit for trucks.

It's still the law in Oregon. You can't pump your own gas in a car. Most of Oregon still leans right, it's just the city dwellers that are hard left, especially Portland and surrounding suburbs.

Same scenario in many other states as well. I'll keep those speed limits on my mind next time I get out west.
