Say that lolves gots better food than the pilot down the street.
But that's just me, I like Carls JR. Over Wendy's.

The loves has a bigger parking lot as well. Making parking a little better.

I have been asked for truck stops too from vets...sometimes people just dont know how to look.

I recommend buying that little truck stop guide book you find at the Pilot, I think I paid $5 for mine maybe less, there are also some apps you can use on your phone if you have an Android.
As for stopping I usually made my stop in Newbury if I didnt have time left but the Loves isnt too far from there. I havent been on the 40 in awhile so I cant remember too much, I almost thought there was a rest area or vista point before Needles.

Google doesn't always show everything so I though I'd ask people who run through here everyday. It's been a while since I have been through here so I forgot exactly where the truck stops are. Thanks for replying.

I usually park at one of the rest areas. Gets really quiet at night and you hear the coyotes howling.

This the one I use all the time to locate stuff for the hubby, they do have some though that are not places with parking. It will list the whole string on the map for your route to choose from. Also click on the station and it will bring up other info such as other places in the area like Walmart, rest areas, etc.

Yes navigatorwife it seems like a good site, i haven't signed in on the site so i don't know what other extras you may get if you log in. Also it would be nice if drivers would list more diesel prices for the O/O's.
I dont know if you already do this or not, but i use the satellite view and zoom way down close so i can guess or look really well at the parking situation, and i also use the little yellow man in street view for a good look around.
I suppose you already know this also but you can pick the amenities you are looking for such as parking, showers, restaurants and such. Someone posted, (i don't remember who) that the place i had chosen shut down at night --so i guess you have to watch those things. Thanks

I do the zoom in too on google maps, sometimes you can see some of the stations have $amt listed for parking there. Sometimes the places don't give a lot of info on their page. I have left remarks a couple of times on ones that were good, etc. Picking the amenities sometimes doesn't seem like it works to me. I use phone numbers to call places like Walmart to verify parking ability and permission. I have never done the prices for fuel since he is company. I keep a list on an excel spreadsheet, state by state and city, where I add stations he has run across on the travels, sometimes they may be a Shell station or other hole in the wall place. Now google maps has it where you can star the places if they have a place marker on the building, this helps too.

I do know this website has really helped a lot in finding those oddball places and it makes it easy to tell where they are located. Found another hidey hole in the Atlanta, GA area last night.
