Question I have and I don't know if its even possible.

Is there a way that I can use my Qualcomm as a hotspot for wifi for laptop , or cell phone ?
I mean it uses basically the same towers as phones do to pull in a signal right ?

The only reason I am wondering is , I use a lot of data on my service plan right now and just want to know if I get close to my limit if I can use this .

Thanks in advance for any info either way .....

I don't think the qualcomms are setup to be tethered to.I would think if your company pays for it they may have an issue with you using it for that.I have Verizon unlimited so I don't worry about it but I know some people who would love to do it if they could.

    No it is not possible.
If it were possible it won't take them long to find out.

Might be able to get some kind of USB Connection to work.out somehow or maybe BT.
I still think they would find out.
I imagine they don't use all that much Data, if you double it or more..

Also the MCP200 unit I had only ever showed 3g.
So wondering if they are even 4g capable.
As you know 3g can be quite slow.

That is very true . It does only say 3G on it .
kinda didnt think about that part.

I tried to plug in with usb , and my phone says it cannot connect to host or something to that matter. I would plug it in to see what it said but I left my usb cord at home when I left .

Qualcomm is a data plan unto the carriers. It is the reason they want you to abbreviate your wording, as they are paying through the nose per character sent. If a truck suddenly spiked for data you can guess what will happen with that driver.

Only other way would maybe set something up with qualcomm. Here is the QualComm website

Maybe. Might be satellite, might use both, I dunno. You don't need a dome for either GPS or cellular communications.

    Hahahaha.
I have always wondered why they use abbreviations , and some are not so great. Lol
I just figured thats how some people type.
Now when I start getting messages that have 15. " #'s " in them I am gonna laugh.

I was miserable to Western Express as I tend to be verbose. They wanted me to do thx - thanks - and I would thankyou.
