You better read the FMCSA guide. Little heaters?

I have ran them when I was out in the woods during cold winters. They work well, they just take a few minutes to get warm.

    Like I said.

You had better read the FMCSA guide.

Propane heaters and even portable electric heaters are not allowed.

They were little electric ones that got the inside of an old Bronco real warm in about 15 minutes. I know thw cost of fuel and upkeep will make it tough to compete with others. So I was hoping I could save some money if I could knock out the idling. But I am not going to make my drivers sleep in hot or cold trucks. If I cannot cut it than maybe I should just stick to heavy trucks.

I had an APU in the truck and it did not keep up with the cold. I looked at the units to supplement the heat. I saw it noted on another thread and did some research and found that they were not allowed.

    bullhaulerswife Thanks this.

If they are indeed not allowed then I have no idea how I can get around it.
