If it runs good, stops well, steers correctly, then it is a good truck.
Having a large hood, doesn't make it good.

    Burn more fuel, yes.
Worse forward visibility when in tight areas, yes.

But a truck is a truck.

Amazing how many old school people just keep driving old school trucks for decades, because that is all they know. Then they get an opportunity to drive a new modern truck, and after a week to adjust to it, they absolutely love it.

A driver who I have know for over 20 years, always drove a KW W900, he has had 3, and kept them a long time each. Well he has decided that he is too old to keep logging, and needs easier work. So he started hauling diesel fuel, and is on pavement 90% of the time now, and that the10% of time spent on dirt roads, the roads are actually good dirt, not beat all to hell logging roads, so he decided to get a new truck. Well it took a bit of time to adjust to it, after all he spent 38 years driving nothing but a W900. After a week though, he said to me "why didn't I switch long ago, this truck is a dream to drive, the visibility amazing, and fuel economy is awesome "!

To each his/her own. What kind of car do you own?

To each their own. Some drive just for the job others it’s a passion that pays. I’ve driven a long hood they are beautiful trucks but they lose practicality in tight urban places. Can you drive without hitting anything on a longhood in the city? Absolutely. But a shorter nose and extra visibility doesn’t hurt!
