I work for SuperValu delivering palletized groceries, no touch. We have home every day guys making 100k+/year. I make well over 70 on about 45 hours/week. There's money out there for experienced people, but I'd probably change places with the OP, particularly if he has a Monday through Friday daylight schedule. :)

If you got 6 months expenses saved up (Considering about 200 per week retail food, showers etc) then you are doing better than 95% out there.

You wont be doing 40 hours then quit. No sir, expect at least a 90 hour week. 70 of that logged and rest of it donated for the good of the industry.

You should be able to clear a thousand after taxes each week provided you run with that left door shut. (Stay out of the casino, truckstop etc) But don't count on it.

If you work with a good company with a certain type of freight you will have money hand over fist every week. That is gravy. Don't go anywhere else.
