    HI All

I was wondering if there is any demand for class B drivers in the oil or natural gas business? I have a class b license with air brake, hazmat and tanker endorsements. What would the pay be? Is there any living accommodations thrown in or would I have to spend everything I made on housing?

    Thanks

    Z

You can look into frac fueling.

    Pilot Thomas
    Sandford
    Pel-State
    Suncoast
    Etc...

Depending on location some will offer housing or housing assistance. Odessa is probably your best bet.

Not sure on the hourly. Sandford seems to leave their guys on location for days at a time, most others swap out every 12. I'd guess the hourly varies between companies because of this.

You'll probably get more hours and a better schedule with a frac company. You could probably get on with one of the majors and they would let you test for your Class A if you're interested in that.

Thanks for the responses. It seems like both these posts businesses are in Odessa.
Whats this city like? Could I go down and get a apartment on my own for 500 bucks or so? Or is that just wishful thinking?

The Permian is the armpit of the United States. You don't want to live there at any price.

The price gouging is crazy in the areas. So for 500 I'm ssure it won't be an area that you would want to continue to stay. There are some good jobs in that area that require a driver to live in the area.

Then there are others that will put u up in there own housing. Research the companies before you make the jump.

    Pioneer Natural Resources
And several energy companies need drivers. Both A and B

Then there are the several service companies. Take your pick
