I clear customs at Niagara and deliver in Toronto quite a bit. That was 6 mpUSg by the way. I thought it wasn't too bad on the economy side.
I blame some of that smoke on the big steps between gears. I have to wind it up pretty good to keep it from lugging after the shifts. 1200 = lugging = smoke. Recovering to 1300 - 1400 is much better but I need to wind her up to accomplish that. A winter project is a 13 speed.
If you know of a service manual in Hamilton that might work out.
