Well dang!!!! I just got back to the yard catching up on some email...Last week we were in Denver, Austin, Shreveport...this week we made it to Los Angeles, picked up a load, trucked to Brookhaven Ms then down to Ft Lauderdale. Picked up some scrap plastic and hightailed it back to Troy, Al. The trainer I have has been with this company for 15 years. He's a very easy going feller with lots of patience and trucst with me. I been averaging about 550 miles a day. At the end of our run today, I believe we got about 5300 miles!!! Anxious to get my own truck after the training period. I am blessed!!!!

Consider yourself amongst the lucky ones who had a trainer who had been around a while. When I started, the trainer I had was a 12 year driver with the company, and had been driving (farm trucks growing up, then otr as both a company driver and an o/o) for many years before that...he knew how things worked, both within the company AND within the industry.

Too many people these days are "trained" by someone who only saw the inside of a truck for the first time a few months prior to picking you up.:biggrin_25513:
