Okay. That makes sense. A bit of advice, if your willing, stay away from lease purchase. They are going to try and get you to get your own truck. Get some experience in first and a lot of money saved up and then go that route olif you want. But under no circumstances dont do it just starting out. Ive seen too many guys lose their shirt.

Yeah man Im not even considering that for like 3yrs that's a hefty payment for someone that's new to the industry and with little experience that'd be a huge responsibility. after I get my experience through Crst , i want to find a nice regional or dedicated route in or around Texas that's where I'm relocating

    This post makes me sad.

This is your life.... I am not sure you should be living it on a "backup plan" if you are looking to do more than pay bills and die.

I appreciate the advice though, I just watched a video on YouTube of a driver fresh out of school leasing a 2017 truck out of school , his weekly payments are prolly going to take most of his checks. He's prolly going to be one of those trucks complaining about making no money

Well with me being in my mid 20s, no kids, no wife and I don't drink or anything. I'm personally more focused on building a future/career for myself. I don't care about the pay grade etc I just want to get my cdl and if other companies aren't hiring in my area what am I supposed to wait until they are ? Hell no I'm not coming out of pocket for it cause a lot of these companies barely reimburse you. So why not learn something pretty much free. LIKE I SAID I JUST WANT TO LEARN FOR NOW!!

I get what you are saying. But why not work the docks for a company that you can build a career with since you don't need the money or whatever?

You don't have kids or a wife. It's the perfect time to start with the best company that will hire you and work your way up.

Also, I paid for my school and didn't get reimbursed a penny. But, I make tons of money now 5 months later. It's all in where you want to start.

Many have fallen to the wayside with the intent to just do something "for now".

Lots of people are just learning... I hope that in the end you don't learn that you are making a huge mistake.
