Is there anyone who'll hire me with three accidents on my record that are a year old?

I guess that is also a possibility...

 

I gotta imagine those jobs aren't always what there cracked up to be either, I bet the electrical contractor companies don't pay good and then sitting at the union hall waiting to be chosen for a job probably sucks too.

Welding that's all over the map some welding job shops have no benefits and pay kind of low so your basically trying to work your way up the ladder, it's like anything else, people get stuck in holes working for crappy bosses and companies and decide to get out of the industry. Construction has a lot of rummy's in it how many contractor horror stories do you hear. There everywhere. Even commercial construction has troubles.

Service Welding that can be bad as well, working at goofy job shops on goofy jobs, and you have to weld so many parts per hour or else the company makes no money on the job because they were already beat down on price by the customer. So I think they figure trucking it has a low level entry barrier kind of that is until you get out here and see it's not all peaches and cream either.

 

Now with me I don't have wife (nobody want's to be my wife any way.) , kids (can't have kids without a wife the two kind of go together I guess.), pets none of that and that's partially on purpose when I got into this business even though I run locally, I said to my self, nights, evenings, weekends, and holidays say good by to all of that and get to work.

When I go trucking which is everyday of the week I plan very little on the weekdays and very little after work if it is after work it's way later in the day and it's all stuff I can cancel if I have to.

 

You can use Carolina Cargo as your "refresher course" then switch to TransAm in 3 or 4 months.

• No more than a combination of three moving violations/accidents/incidents in the last three years.

You need to find a company with teams or one that will put u with a trainer for a few months. I don't think u have enough experience to be on your own.I started out with Schneider doing tankers with zero experience. Took my time and keep my self out of bad situation my first year with big orange. If u love driving a rig i would suggest to keep looking into small companies.

 

To be honest, I'm seriously considering going to electrician school. At least until these incidents go off my DAC Report. You know, I love how in the transportation industry, you can meet all the qualifications of the Federal Government and the DOT to drive a truck, but there's one website companies can go to in order to decide you still aren't qualified (HireRight) and other companies go to this website and just take their word for it. They don't listen to your side of the story. They don't care. HireRight is God to them! I tried another bus company called, Trans-Bridge Lines, but they hung up on me before I even finished talking. Yeah, I'm so glad I spent six thousand dollars to get this license. It was so worth the debt!

 

Did you try the 3 companies I suggested? By their websites, you're qualified. One of them only wants a refresher and that's easy to get.

 

Does anyone know where I can get a 120-hour refresher course? Trans Am said they'd hire me, but I'd need a 120-hour refresher course. Apparently, Roadmaster doesn't offer one and I'm trying to find someone who does. Preferably less than $6,000 as they said they'd reimburse me up to that much. If there is no such course that's that cheap, that's okay. I'll find some way to make it work. I have nearly two thousand dollars saved up so far.
