    Is there any DECENT trucking company that will take a driver with two DWI's from 19 and 17 years ago?


    I'm afraid I'm stuck with Swift otherwise.

    I know that before my boyfriend got one of his removed, the trucking school said that there were plenty that would hire him with two that old, just can't remember who they were. But she did admit that his options would be more limited with two.

    How did he go about getting one removed?

    I have a job with Swift but the horror stories scare me. Although they will reimburse my tuition.

    You can get it removed from criminal background checks but in Wisconsin, I't s there for life.

    In California it is possible to have it removed after 13 years, but only before you apply for your CDL. And not all are eligible for removal, but his were really minor. He could have had both of them removed if he had waited another four months, but he had already been out of work for 6 months.

    I knew my options would be limited with two, no matter how old they were. But with one year of good experience, more doors will open I'm sure.

    I guess I'll just have to accept the fact that to a certain degree, I'll always be damaged goods to some companies. Too bad for them.
