IS there really 250,000 Owner Operators running under own authority?

Anyone got a green book handy for all those whining about the word handbook?
Might want to read the title of it......

Here's a hint, it's titled "Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations Handbook”

Only question I have as I don't have one handy right now is does it list those stats in it?

Just for a link for the ones with the pocket book version that wants to argue.

No whining and yes I have a copy in the truck and no there is no safety regulations requiring publishing the stats the OP originally started trolling with.

 

Zvar, the FMCSA doesn't publish the regulations outside the standard regulations manual from the US GPO. The green book and others are published by private publishers, the green book is a JJ keller book.

My point is where is this coming from, I can't find this claim in the five different published manual of regulations anywhere, so where is it?

Also handbook means to me that it can be what used to be called a pamphlet.

 

Does any of that matter? Of course it's a third party. So what? He's obviously a new driver that was asked a simple question. Instead of answering it, he got hammered for not quoting something to your satisfaction. Of course he's not coming back after being attacked.

Most people would have realised he meant the green book and left it at that. The fact you still cannot let go of that fact says more about you then the op. For 99% of the drivers, the Green Book is FMCSA's bible. No one but you cares it's a 3rd party that actually owns the print shop.

 

Dude, I was the first to ask and I asked a simple question to find the ******** **** source so we all can discuss it with some intelligence and we are on the same page by knowing where the claim is coming from.

Other than that ... well you know what I'm thinking.
