I'm interested in the higher pay and manual labor that comes with pulling a flat bed. I'm a pretty big guy, though. I've sent applications and emails to various companies, but haven't heard anything yet (I'm just being impatient). There was a post somewhere else where a guy was the same height and weight as me and he said he was rejected by TMC for his weight, though they didn't actually tell him that but that was his gut feeling.

I can understand if they don't want a big heavy guy climbing ladders or whatever. I'm just built like a linebacker (so I'm told). Does anyone have input on this?
I would think big guys like myself would be favorable. I'm usually the "hey you, come help me with this heavy stuff" guy wherever I go.

OP there are some extreme fat ### drivers out there and some of them are flatbed drivers. At 6'4" 300lbs your a big dude but you are not like some of the drivers out here that could easily be contestants on the biggest loser so you should be fine.

How long ago did you fill out applications?I don't see your size to be an issue.Ive seen some mighty heavy guys tarping with the best of them. There's the sleep abnea test though that some companies may require.

I'm a big guy myself not a blob tho and I had some thoughts about it. After really thinking about it. Tarp conditions like wind water snow freezing rain and the chance of falling. There's a saying for that. Big man fall and he no get up.

Think you'll be fine, just research the companies, apply to a few, see which one fits you best

    HA!

My concern really comes from applying as a field tech for cable/satellite internet companies. Dish has a maximum weight requirement of 275 lbs. Apparently, this is because of weight limitations with the ladders they provide, among other things.
