So the consensus is the Volvo's are unreliable? No one's really gone into detail about their problem with them.
Dispatchers located right at home. I've seen them; all middle aged white guys. Which means all good.
Is this a good deal? Free CDL training, .46cpm and 1 year contract?

Best, most comfortable truck I ever drove was a Volvo with automatic transmission, running 48 states pulling a liquid tanker trailer. I swore, at that time, if I ever bought a truck it would be a Volvo, raised roof, with Volvo engine married to a Volvo automatic transmission.Last edited: Dec 21, 2018
Vic Firth Thanks this. -
>Employee positions (W-2) (1099)
So I'm assuming they meant it's NOT a 1099 contract. -
Complete the school, then when your contract is complete, decide if you want to stay or move on.
Those companies trucks usually run pretty fast.
If they give you a choice of 1099 or W2, choose the W2.
What type drug test do they require; urine or hair follicle? -

I get $0.48 so $0.46 for a new driver sounds almost to good. They could do something like run a lot of notheast or NYC. It could be pulling refer and they don't pay lumpers. So you have to unload the trailer. Maybe they do lots of overnight runs. Those loads pay more so they could afford to pay the driver more. K&B truck does that. They pay really good but do lots of overnight refer runs.
