    Hello everyone,

I've been a company driver in the past for local companies in Alabama. I have been researching the expedite information online. I would like to buy a cargo van and start running OTR for a good company. I know it takes being on the road to make money but with the economy the way it is...is this a good time to start?

I would like to get started in Jan. 2009 if I can find a company and get everything together.

I'm looking at staying on the road at least 3 weeks at a time to make it work. I just need to know where to start. I've contacted Panther because I'm interested in the "Special Services" division they have now but haven't had a call back.

Anyone running in the Southeast? Anyone hiring in the Southeast?

Any info would be a great help.

    Thanks,

    Rodney

I'm still in school...but i wouldn't do it...because no matter what...you have to pay for the truck...i rather get paid a little less and have no worries...then get paid more and have to worry about everything that has to do with the truck...
