Don't stress too much over getting close to another vehicle. These things are 70 feet long. Sometimes you have to get close. As long as you knew you would get within "x" number of inches, and did exactly that, all is cool. Its when you surprise and scare yourself, saying "wow, that's way closer than I figured I'd get", that you have an issue. Remember, its better to say "I almost hit it" than to say "I almost missed it".

 

Makes me glad I drive tanker, thinking about having the reverse gear taken out of mine.
