The scale doesn’t care if it’s snowing if the tread is above minimum depth that’s all that matters. They can’t shut you down.
If they do find bad tires they are not going to just issue a ticket and send you on your way.

Never seen steers with a wavy tread design, but I'm new.

Those look a lot better than a lot I've seen. Especially from our neighbors to the north.

you right, BUT, I just asked for an inspection and told them why.

PA was glad to oblige and they stated it was better than me wrecking in a month when the snow starts flying.

    believe it or not.

    I really don't give a crap.

    kids these days.

So you still had a month to drive on those tires? I didn’t know “old school” drivers were such divas. I thought you guys were about getting the job done. I’m sad to learn that Karen’s existed back then.

I ask a guy once about his almost bald drives on his back axle.

He said," Saves fuel plain and simple. When winter comes I put good ones on that I have at the shop."

I once pissed off the boss by refusing to drive because I had no stop/turn/tail lights on one corner of the truck. Straight up said either I fix them here and now or I just go home and someone else can deal with it. I do my best to not make myself stand out on the road.

I can tell you with the current CSA times you too will get points for pulling into a scale and asking for an inspection. If they write a ticket you get dinged too. Why? Because you knew it was bad and still drove on a public roadway to get there.
