How does percentage of load work? I think its based on the revenue of that load meaning you make % of what the company charges for the load? How does that work out...how do you know how much you are making?
Is this good deal?

Simply put, he will make 70% of whatever the company is charging to me the freight: for example, if he gets a load from chicago to detroit, and it pays $350, he would get $245 (70%) plus any fuel surcharge that the company is charging its customer.
BY law, if you are paid on %, then you are allowed to see the rate sheet comnfirmation that the customer signs and faxes back. -
ok that makes a little more sense. But if you are working for a company that pays perecentage of load...do you know before you accept the load or whatever how much youd get for taking it?
-
At the time the load is offered to you, they will tell you how much it pays.

I almost signed on to a company that pays 72% with NO FSC.
-
well, it may not seem like the best deal, but if their freight pays really well, then you will still make what you want.(within reason, of course!)
-
It is a container company out of VA. Not sure if their freight pays well or not.
-
Oh well that changes everything, hauling cans usually doesn't pay well, esp not at 72% with no FSC.
