No, I've told them I will take anything anywhere. No request for help or advise is pointless. I've been going back and forth with them on things for a year now, then ENTIRE story would take days to type and I'd probably get yelled at for posting it, too.

I would stick it out, something happen between you and the company, and since they are bigger than you are, "they have YOU by the scrotum", I hate to say it, but it's the truth. If you leave, they will give you a negative something(I don't know about it just read it on here all the time), not to mention, I think they would take you to collections to collect for your schooling

If you have your year in, why not start looking for something more local, around where you live? If your sitting that much and not getting loads, then you need to move on to another company. But get hired first with the new company, and then give swift your notice.

I can only speak for myself, but I also started out with Swift and had a similar experience as you are. What I did was started making phone calls and found a job making around $50k a year. I think that was the one of the best career moves I've ever made. There are companies out there that will hire you as long as you don't wreck the truck, etc. You can pay Swift back at your leisure once you start making money.

Thanks guys! I was thinking the same thing. I had to redo orientation bc when I was rehired I had to go through the whole application and rehire process. I was sick one time and missed a day and they told me to redo it (even though I had just done it a few months before when I was first hired) then they made me redo it bc the dr took a while to get back to me and clear me to get my Medical card ( I'm on some Rx's that I needed a dr's note for and it took a while)

Something is seriously wrong if you're laid over for day(s), and only bring in 500 a month. Nothing worse than working your ### off, only to see your family suffer. Depending on your current credit situation, how much you owe, it may be best to fire swift, and hire on somewhere else. From the sound of it, you can hire on elsewhere, and get Swift paid back quicker. I think this thread almost proves why it's better to pay to go to a private school, rather than going to a cdl-mill school. Puppy mills are just as bad for puppies as cdl-mills are for drivers.

I keep hearing freight is slow this time of year, but judging from my miles, freight is just fine. 8/10 times I'm pre-planned before I drop a load.

Thanks Ex-con, I went to a private school before but it was 10 years ago. I didn't have the money this time around but I'm wishing i waited and used a tax return or something bc I'm regretting the choices I did make. I think I should look elsewhere. at this rate it'll take me years to pay them back. I sit and wait for loads and rarely EVER do I have a pre-plan before I drop. If I do I usually don't have time to get it before the pick up is due bc I'm still on the previous trip. Thanks for the kind remarks I've gotten today. I appreciate it a lot.
