55% taken out in taxes? only thought the death and inheritance tax were that high
-
Wow - that's insane! That's like -- cashing in your 401K early tax...
-
Well I found out they took $102 because I forgot to scan lumper receipt, but I still think its alittle too much being taken out
-
You must be claiming zero exemptions . Claim at least yourself, and any eligible dependants.
Even at zero, that does seem high. -
Yep, I work "less than" 40 hours a week as a driver mind you (dedicated account), and gross $1,000.
even after my health benefits,
my take home is still higher than yours
now, I am as sure as can be, other drivers take home more than me, that's a given.
But when you look at your particular state tax base, then the Fed taxes, and any other "take out" from your gross, can anyone see why I say trucking is a losing proposition to even get into??
I have always stayed away from "over-time" work too when I could. The more OT I would work??
The MORE they took out, so much so, I may have worked OT for say 10 hours??
But only actually took home 5 hours of that!!!Everett Thanks this. -
Show us your check, break it down for us. Gross pay, deductions for ????
-
-
Forgot
Did you have any deductions?? such as an advance or locks? -
They also suggested the "lock kit" which was like $325 dollars for a trailer door lock, a kingpin lock and a glad hand lock. That was to be $25 a week. But I declined that... and bought all that for under $60.
I think there was another charge that I can not remember...
