Yeah man....it can be done. You just have to shift your entire lifestyle. I've lost 50 lbs so far this year, and that was due to cutting alcohol, soda, counting carbs, and sodium. I've eaten a lot of rabbit food this whole year. Get your doctor or even a nutritionist to show you how to eat, and what to eat. Smaller portions, multiple times a day, and healthy stuff. It ain't always gonna be what you crave, but you'll get used to it. It became 2nd nature after a few weeks for me. It's ok to have a cheat day, just don't eat the stuff you're supposed to eat on a cheat day every day. 90 to 95 percent needs to be healthy stuff and 5 to 10 percent can only be cheat day food.
rolls canardly and tscottme Thank this. -
My plan, first off this is not going to reach my non commercial record it will once the dust settles reach my cdl psp report.
My goal is to use my 19k in employment bennifits + 6k in savings to live off , ahem look for work but while not looking for work I am going to the gym.
Ive not had sex in over 2 years because of my weight, my women aient having it so there's more motivation aside from the fact I can barely use the self-service pump when I visit the truck stop of love,
*I've heard of some 2nd chance truck companies for people who get DUI or drugs etc. While MY only crime is having an accident I am going to have to suck it up and go to one of those companies.
I'm leaning more towards heat stroke and not black out, ahem bottom line the accident is my fault. NO I was not using my phone either.
Thanks for the advice from my betters, im only 12 years into this and I can't imagine doing anything else ( not that I could do much else at this weight.
Another thing , I don't live off soda,I just ate too dam much and once I hit about 400 pounds I was offering people 5 bucks to shut my doors for me because I would get winded or too lazy to shut my own dam doors. Stuff like that adds up.bryan21384 Thanks this. -
Seriously consider pulling yourself off the road until you get healthy and take care of any underlying conditions you may have. You have that responsibility as a cdl driver.Unclehams, bryan21384, dunchues and 1 other person Thank this. -
I am sorry, 516?!?
you don't need to be on the road at all.
You may downplay the accident, but the truth is that it could have been worst. It costs money for all of us, and you need to take it seriously, not blow it off as maybe heatstroke, you and your doc don't know unless you go through a number of tests to determine what it could be, more likely not heatstroke. -

First, best of luck in you endeavor to lose weight.
You got a lot of good advice here, as I just read the whole thread.
I know If I get over 265 - 270, my knees hurt. Thats my diet sign.
I'm on the road every day, weekends, holidays - every single day.
To eat healthy trucking over the road must be tough to do,
I rarely go over 100 miles from home. Just multiple trips daily.
I have a 12 volt refrigerator in my rollback for cold water.
So I do the salads, chicken + fish thing as a normal course.
What screws me up is sodas, and pies, candy and cakes.
Never shop when you're hungry, (ask me how I know?)
How did this Sara Lee triple death by chocolate get in here?
Get serious, (could have been a tragic disaster.) You got lucky.
Go to cardiologist, he will give you the straight skinny on your
condition. Someone mentioned gastric band surgery.
You might want to consider it. That's a lot of weight to come off.
A dietician/nutritional coach seems in order, too.
Sounds corny, but they have answers you and I wouldn't think of.
Get on a schedule of eating several smaller meals a day.
Once you get yourself regulated, keep the schedule no matter what.
Part of the key is self discipline and regulation.
From your comments seems like it is something you might avoid?
I know it is hard from my perspective, too, but if you get serious
and regulate yourself, it becomes a good habit in about a month.
Suddenly, it just seems comfortable + normal, like you always did it.
Ever see a fat rabbit?Unclehams Thanks this. -
516 pounds???
Not only is it a health issue for you and also a dangerous situation if you do blackout or have a heart attack behind the wheel and kill somebody think of the overweight tickets.
