Slicing it awful thin, rooster.I do not think it would be a very good deal, unless there are other considerations.

You know your expenses better than I do, so Figure everything up, and ask yourself is that enough for you and your family to live off of. I dont mean just enough to get by, but enough to have money let over every week to save up.
-
I think if you found 2 back hauls a week, you would be doing pretty well. Otherwise it's probably a $1,000 profit a week job.
-
id say it would be ok to do if you are allowed to find a back haul,or you have no down time like a drop and hook deal.
-
IMO the pay is a bit on the down side. If you do the math it's about a 470-475 round trip and you're only getting paid $800. Like others have pointed out if you're allowed to find a decent back haul paying anywhere close to $400-500 then it would be worth it. There's also another option, perhaps you can negotiate the rate to be a little bit higher, say $1000.
It's not the best, but it will probably get you home quite often. -
For $1.69 a round trip, not that great, but if you could find something on the other end paying close to the same money or better, then go for it.
MNdriver Thanks this. -

yes gross and i will be home everyday. no truck or trailer notes. i was thinking about 350 for diesel a day, 150 week insurance, 150 week maintance acct, what else should i be adding into this?

Depending on where you park your truck at night, fuel cost just to run home and back to get loaded every day can kill you.
