I sent an email to trans am's hr dept expaining in detail as to whats going on. If they decide on no, then I will see if theres either a different med I can be put on, or do something else for awhile. I am NOT seeking ssi or any other assistance program. I worked my ### off to get my cdl because this is what I want to do. Regardless of what anyone says. You want to cut me down, knock yourself out. I know what I want, and I will do whatever is necessary to get back in the truck. I enjoyed my time out on the road, had no issues with cars or losing it while driving. My backing was spot on, my trip planning and logging were right on. It felt right, and I WILL accomplish it. Yes, most people consider my "issues" to be that of a "nancy boy" or pansy or whatever you want to classify me as, but I am correcting the problem, have the full support of family and friends, and I will make this happen. If anything, negativety inspires me to work harder, so have at it.
Is Trans Am a good company to start with?

That trazadone may be the thing that stops you... My ex wife used to take that and I tried it twice and it knocked me out cold both times. Powerful stuff, I think the DOT may frown on it based ony experience with it, bit I can not say for sure.
Ignore the Nancy Boy comments... Any jackwagon can buy a computer and go on line. Always consider the source. -
thanks kmac. I'm calling the dr tomorrow and inquire about getting something different
KMac Thanks this. -
It's not about only what the DOT allows. Its what the company allows. Trans Am will get you to orientation force you into a lease. Then you really will find out about anxiety. Sorry guy but as another guy said. This is not the best industry for those who suffer from anxiety issues. This industry can make the mellowest of persons insane in the membrane. There was a guy in Amarillo who was trying to run over people and run from the law, and I'm sure that's what he suffered from. Having a nervous breakdown can come at any time. I don't think a company who value's its operating authority would take a risk on you. The lawyers would have a field day if you hurt somebody in their truck.

Alright, I will search for someone else then. I view all these "go home and stat there" posts as inspiration. A challenge if you will. A month ago I would've just sulked, surrendered my cdl, and given up, relegating myself to nothing more than an emo wristband making nancy boy. However, I now view all this negativity as a challenge that I will overcome. Not to just say, "i told you I could do it", but instead as a way to show MYSELF that I could do it. So go ahead, keep throwing your stones, rocks, boulders, and such at me. Because this house is no longer made of glass. Challenge..accepted

If TransAm will take you, then go for it and stick with them for 12 months. After that you can re-evaluate your situation and decide your next move. Use TransAm as a stepping stone to get where your really want to be.

As an anxiety disorder sufferer myself, I've learned that until someone has actually experienced debilitating anxiety for themselves, they will never understand the full nature of this disease. You're doing the best you know how to do. Just make sure you're staying on top of managing your medication because that can mess you up quick if you slip on taking it regularly.
