    Good plan. Get your CDL on your own, and therefore aren't tied to any company. While getting your CDL, make sure to get all of your endorsements as well. I would get Haz-Mat as well, as it may help to open up better opportunities in the future. Best of luck to you!

    That true the truck driving mill schools push you through the course which prove nearly disasterous for me because I nearly failed the driving test. I think the only reason why I passed because my tester was a female, and I was trying my heart out. She gave me like five chances at the parallel parking part which was kicking my butt. I passed the driving test by one point. And when I went to Scheider I needed an extra week of training. To prevent this don't let them rush you if you feel like you need more time.
