Your personal commitment to excellence in driving can take you on many adventures and places. You have to start somewhere and that's usually at the bottom of the payscale and simplest truck (dry van). However, I'm driving a empty 5 axle van around that pays $27/hr w/ bennies. That's because I've put my miles in w/ a clean record to get this good job.

I've been doing this since 1998. Yes, it has it's ups and downs, but what field doesn't? I've done other things as well, and even been successful at some of them. But I keep coming back to trucking.
It is what you make of it. I enjoy it, others don't. But hey! If it were easy, anybody could do it! -
I'm 27 I've been doing it for 6 years I love it.

Dont be like me and let others decide for you. -
It's NOT bad at all in fact. Gotta find your happy spot in the industry and just go for it. Been at it since '92.........don't plan on quitting anytime soon. Yes, I am an independent owner op, and am home nearly every weekend.
