Oh I can sit in front of the TV or my computer all day, no problem. That is why I never get laundry done until night time. ha!
I grew up as an only child because my siblings were much older and gone. I really am good at entertaining myself and being by myself. I am just concerned about the fact that I've always had the CHOICE to be alone. I am definitely NOT a social butterfly that NEEDS constant contact. NO THANK YOU!!
Maybe starting out with a regional route will be best for me? Would I be home more often that way? I definitely want to go OTR, at least for several months, assuming everything goes well. I don't want to be single forever, so OTR won't work for me forever. I'm very excited about seeing new places, possibly getting the chance to see friends across the country, even if it's brief.
I'm one of those people that has to be 100% sure of something before I do it, or I'll be miserable.

Also, it doesn't bother me at all to take road trips by myself. When I say a road trip, I mean the actual drive is alone, usually to spend time with family, so I'm not alone once I get there...just the trip there and back and usually the nights are by myself. That's always anywhere from 5 to 8 hours.

AnonGirl is really asking what everyone asks: "What's it like out there?" It's a good question, with as many answers as there are truck drivers. Try these:

You'll be a great asset to any company. They don't like drivers that are truck stop heros.

Thank you. Hadn't thought of that angle.
Also, my ex and I used to take even longer trips than what I said in a truck. I've slept at truck stops, eaten at truck stops, etc. I'm not completely unfamiliar with the hassles of a big truck or truck stops. Ours was over 80' in length. -
Are you ready to gain weight ? Alot of female drivers are fat ( except Pattyj cause i saw a pic of her ) There's alot of down time involved, plenty of time to nibble yourself an extra 40 pounds.

Not really haha. But I'm also used to doing the housewife, sit around and do nothing but snack all day thing. I can control myself and watch what I choose to snack on. Plus I'll have the dog, so I'll have to take walks.
