Im glad to learn of that.
I was content that they need to do work on that up that way but I ran out west before I enjoyed some of the benefit of the road work up there.
Is us219 in Pa a good truck rd?

That's not way out of route.
When winter slams the old 40/48 and the early form of I-68 in the 80's we would run to the PA Pike via Wheeling. It would be raining up there and roll at 70 while the poor saps in Western Maryland are spinning no where. So it's worth it. Drop back down at breezewood or Bedford. -

I was pretty worn out before making it to the 219 where id make my decision. Figured ill run snowshoe this time in the daylight to see it for future reference. Next time 86.
It doesnt bother me to hang with the fedex doubles racing each other through the gorge every night. But you can only go about 20mph during daylight thanks to the campers. -
Thanks for the info fellas

Snowshoe was a disappointment. Im crawling along expecting to drop off some cliff edge to match the topo imagery id seen.
Check gps, its 5 miles behind me. -
Snowshoe ain't nothing to lose sleep over. I haven't been over it in a while, but there isn't even a reduced speed for trucks if I remember correctly. Just a long Hill is all it is.

You remembered it pretty well. The 81 interchange cluster at scranton is way more dangerous IMO just by virtue of the perpetual construction, rapid fire 4 wheeler merges and a road surface that makes you pray for your steering box's chastity.
Petty Cash Thanks this.
