    ordinaryguy,

Nothing is ever perefect in the world. Period! It is obvious that they do have their problems as evidence by the posts on here. What do you perceive as problems that effect you? Although I do not work for them, my problems would consist of not being compensated for ALL on duty time, expensive benefits and lack of home time just to name a few.

We look forward to hearing from you.

    Drive safe

hometime isnt an issue for me, i am a NetOps driver, but when i was on the road, they would get me home maybe a day late, didnt really bother me. Before i came off the road i was on a dedicated account, paid real well, got tall miles, just wanted to get off the road. I guess i have no real issues about Werner. If you dont like your job, then quit, that is what i tell Werner drivers to do when they piss and moan about their miles.

In the end for me I wouldn't mind being a net-ops guy. I've heard they (openings) are hard to come by and don't pay the best, but at least I can expect to have a life.

I can understand the miles issue, however, the main problem I have with Werner right now is the amount of crap I'm putting up with as a trainee and the conditions I'm dealing with. Staying on for another 40 for 450 is a bust when I was told I would be on my own truck after 275 and would have a dedicated route. I have received neither except a 22 year old trainer who only speaks english when conversing with me. The radio, his phone conversations, everything in espanol. It got old after a day! I run the nights and he runs the day. I drive a minimum of 10 hours (requiring a restart - but not at a facility with laundry) and shower once every three days w/out laundry stops. I can't use my bluetooth earpiece even though I've been driving since he was born (literally) and only stop for a meal on his drive-time and it is a grab and run. I'll quit my crying now, I'm just putting up with it to get it over with as soon as possible.

I cannot wait to be on my own truck...

How can you have a 22 year old trainer??? ... request a new trainer. That's crazy. And why I would never consider Werner for a 2nd. They are a driver mill.

Sorry, I'm not a driver YET,But I am a diesel tech and if you think you've hid it in the truck good, chances are,you havent. I know when I do a b service,I go through the whole truck, front to back top to bottom.I dont like the idea of a driver being downed cause of my doing.Seen everything n them trucks, from toys.....lol...to the porn library of congress.HAve a good one.

It's crazy, I know... but my trainer could be my son age-wise. I have been driving vehicles longer than he has been alive and I'm only 39!

The kid reference "the good old days" yesterday. When I asked him when that was, he said a year and a half ago (seriously). He has a Napolean complex and is never wrong, and never says thanks when I get us out of trouble (directions, store managers, etc)

I would have asked for a new trainer but I just want to get this training out of the way. I'm 5 hours away from finishing the extra 40 and will head to a terminal to test out on Monday. That is when the fun will begin.

I hope that you are being sarcastic about the "fun" part as I got off the trainer truck nearly a year ago and the fun ain't started yet.

Well I was just dropped off in Portland to test out after 401 hours behind the wheel. If this isn't fun, I don't know what is!
