My family and I use google latitude to keep up with each other. Me and another driver use it to see what we're doing before we call. I agree with everything that guy said in the link you posted. I also think that in this information age we live in it goes much deeper than that.

I strive to get my kids to understand that *nothing* we do on a computer is private. This goes for us truckers and our qualcomms too. Have you ever wondered why anything you post on Facebook forever belongs to them afterward? Someone someday will pay good money to examine all kinds of different data from facebook, myspace, google or youtube. The possibilities are endless. There are companies that already offer this data.

This goes for qualcomm data also. What if you could use a computer program that could pre-screen drivers based on recorded qualcomm data? Hard braking stats, overspeed, high rpm amounts, *idle time* and locations. These things are already being done for 'in house' reports and I imagine it will soon be available to third party recipients for a fee.
