For all of you ISX mechanics. If you are working on a 2013 1/2, and newer, ISX, with factory brass cylinder liner shims, you will usually find that the counterbores are not fretted at all. Liners go down, because the brass bearings (as Cummins calls them) (ie shims) have smashed. I now have stainless steel shims, that you can install, in place of the brass shims, and get the liners up to .014" protrusion, without doing any machining of the counterbores.
