2012 Coronado w/DD15. 562hp, 1850tq., governed at 94 mph. Sadly, mpgs just ain't there. And I think it should pull better for what its rated at.
ISX or DD15, which should I buy?

that's as high as diesel doctor could go w/o reflashing ECM. But rarely go that fast. Just nice to have it there.

I don't. I typically run under 70. MPGs on the winter blend is averaging 5.9

One guy in my neighborhood bought 2013 Freightliner Cascadia with Detroit dd15. he replaced his old 05 Columbia because of blown head gasket on Detroit series 14.0 egr. He replaced the gasket 4 times.

Well I could have helped him out with that issue. Generally series 60 engines with repetitive head gasket failures have liner putrusion issues caused by the top counter bore rings being cavitated. He could have had the rings cut out and replacements installed along with and overhaul because the liner lips could have been damaged too. Also have found air charge coolers çracked and cause higher cylinder temps and blow gaskets. But generally you can spot boost system leaks by looking at the y in the middle of the exhaust manifold for a crack down the middle. . . But this is all a suspect as long as the injector calibrations are set correctly along with overhead settings and the engine isn't set overpowered. Detroit's have a tendency to not last if overpowered. . . . . Just some info is all.Bearclaw69 and Catliner Thank this.

He had that engine rebuilt prior to those 4 blown gasket.

wot problems are the dd's having ?

Not many really. Fuel system mostly. Couple a/c leaks. Oil seepage at cam carrier.
