06 ISX jake is very weak (and some what rough) on the first and second stages, the third stage (turbo) seems to work fine. I've put new solenoids, springs, pistons and harness on the jakes. The jake cam appears fine. Oil pressure is excellent. I've narrowed it down to possibly rocker shafts/ rockers or possibly cam bearings? Everything appears to look fine to the naked eye, not enough wear to see anyway. I have another ISX that I seldom ever needs the third stage of the jake it works soo good.
    Thanks for any help

need to check the adjustment but make sure not to half ### it make sure to check the running clearance as well let me dig up the specs. also check it with the valve cover off by depressing the button on top of the selinoid to make sure all is working and it is not a switch problem.

Valves, injectors, and engine brakes (if equipped) must be correctly adjusted for the engine to operate efficiently. Valve, injector, and engine brake adjustment must be performed using the values listed in this section.
After an engine rebuild or any major repair where the injector and valve setting must be disturbed, set all of the valves, injectors, and brakes.

Straight from quick serve for specs. I know that you probably don't need these but it is just for you to double check.

should have replaced the rocker shaft, the detent holes wear oval and won't hold pressure causing weak jakes.
we do a "jake tune up" of replacing both shafts, control spools and springs and it brings jake performance back to new.
