hi! New to the forum, the codes from my diagnostics test codes related to the egr are 1228(pid27), 2348(pid27), 2357(sid146), 2359(pid411). Can i bypass the egr on my 05 isx. The lowest i found for an egr valve was 963.00 and that's only for the part. HELP! Also does code 482 or 2215(pid94) means i need a new fuel pump? Thx for any advice!

Can't help you with the EGR, but the 482/2215 is only fuel delivery pressure is low. This doesn't necessarily mean you need a fuel pump. Proper diagnostics need to be done to determine what is causing the low pressure. These pumps are actually pretty good and I have only changed a couple of them. If the low pressure codes are not currently active they need to be ignored. Those codes can be induced every time a fuel filter is changed and the fuel system reprimes itself.

Your question gets kinda involved , but here goes . I don't know about your codes , without looking them up , but the best way to handle the EGR problem , permantly , is to delete it. $$$$ place called PDI . Then , go to a junkyard. Get another exhaust manifold , take the rear section off. TAke your exhaust manifold off, take the Front section off , put the rear section on , bolt it back up.
no more EGR. But , you Must do the EGR Delete first. Then , never , ever , let Cummins , or any dealer , hook up to your ECM , Without a Clear understanding that they are not to update it, or change anything.
You will spend a loft , upfront , but it will save you even more , in the long run. Or , if you're sure the EGR is closing completely , when the engine is off and cold, turn the key to on , without starting the engine , walk around to the EGR , and unplug the electrical connection. Turn the key back to off , wait a few seconds , then you're good to go . You will get a permanent check engine warning, but that's the cheap way.
Remember , that valve must be closed. Only way to be sure , is to remove the clamp ( it will break , you'll need a new one , $32.00 at a dealer) and look at the valve, to be sure it's closed.
