Must be a ComfortPro APU. In my experience, they've never kept up with exrtreme heat well. Companies like them because they're cheap, drivers hate them because.. they're cheap. You might try a broomstick on the clutch, brakes released, drives chocked. Maybe disconnect red line to engage trailer brakes for safety. Trick the ECU into thinking you're sitting in traffic, it might stay running. <EDIT> Forgot to mention, I had a truck set up similar and it would flash engine warning lights when it was about to shutdown. If I tapped the throttle, it would reset and run another five minutes or whatever.

An extra large sledge hammer might fix it.

And the world will be better for this...

Your body has the ability to self-regulate its temperature. Just keep yourself hydrated. If I remember right, you are a flatbedder. Drink a liter of water before securing your load and see how you feel after that. A liter is not very much. I used to think it was a lot then I realized I could fill an empty liter bottle with one pee session

Gee... My curtains are working so good. I had to turn my AC down. Got too cold in here.

I got into a new truck recently. Might want to talk to the shop to bump the idle timer up. Ours is set at 15 min and we can either tap the gas or brake pedal to reset the timer.

As usual saving fuel trumps driver comfort.

Do you want to be burning up your clock re-chilling a regular cotton towel, or would you rather use one specifically designed for it that lasts a lot longer? We are talking the difference in time making your deliveries and pick ups, and parking on the shoulder on the Interstate because your clock ran out. Artic Chill for the Elog WIN!!!

I don't know what you're talking about. I pull a flatbed in MO/AR/TN/KY/IL/IN and my truck hasn't had AC in the 9+ years I've owned it. Let your body get acclimated to the heat and you're fine. When you live in a truck with the AC blasting and only step out into the heat when it's time to work, you're more prone to heat exhaustion/heat stroke. Hell, for about 7 or 8 years (until the wife moved in), I never ran the AC here at the house, either.
