You're right. I used to drive without AC when I relocated from UT to TX. The first year was uncomfortable, but the following years much easier even more than others who have lived here awhile.
It is still important to never dehydrate yourself, of course. I have found, even in TX, people don't realize how much water the body really needs. People tend to dehydrate themselves, even in office environments.

I don't recall feeling 120+. I felt 110 in Mesquite NV. I do feel -30 regularly. I feel like I am a Jack London novel. LOL. Whiskers freezing in mere seconds... humidity getting in the trailer and turning it into a blizzard.. then you hop out into the GA summer. A man with glasses cannot see either way. My codriver telling me, what are you waiting for, lets go... I say a man with glasses cannot see yet.

Jeez, the APU in my last Volvo was so good I could not run it on high long. I made that mistake once in Texas and I swear there was 6 inches of snow inside my cab.
