Team pay. If a company keeps a team running the way a team should be running it's the equivalent of 50 cpm for a solo driver.
It really took me a long time to find a great company like TSI

Exactly. Gotta look at the whole picture. Cpm by itself doesn't mean much.

Amen. At the end of the day what matters is the size of your paycheck and what you had to live with to get it. The rest is just details. I guarantee there is a trucking company that doesn't pay detention, only pays .32 a mile, and is awesome. Probably because all their freight is drop and hook and it's all long haul stuff with nice easy routes. Looks bad on paper, but for a particular driver it's paradise.
Similarly somewhere out there is a guy who gets .75 per mile and hates his life lol. He's probably a local driver of course, but he's getting .75 per mile! Why isn't he happy? He spends his whole day trying to pull a 53' dry van around Cincinnati, that's why lol.Need4Speed and Pianoman Thank this. -
Yes, I have known guys who get paid the mile more and dont get any miles. Its all about how the company treats you and i am very happy and my checks are really good. I have literally met the owners of the company name another company where you get to do that. Like I said the pay is average but i actually run and get miles which balances out. Like i said I love it here and have not had any problems here.

Yeah your gig's alot like mine in some ways. I love mine cause I'm home every week, super chill work environment, great bosses and dispatch, very consistent pay, nice equipment, faster trucks, and solid paychecks. I make only .38 a mile but my paychecks are about 1300 a week (gross) and I only use 55-60 hrs on my 70 each week with 1-2 days at home. I will meet the owner sometime this month too lol.
Besides, anyone who's ever worked a job they hate knows the value of working somewhere you ENJOY working. Maybe you could make a little more somewhere else, but it's not always worth it.Need4Speed Thanks this. -
Gotta be hauling automotive, if that's your run and your running lanes. I work for a company that does that, and in 6 years it rarely gets slow except for shutdown and re-tooling time.
