Items to have starting out.

    What type of tools/items are needed when starting out? Things like large pry bars, cutting dykes, pliers etc. Zip ties, different types of tapes, bungees etc.
    Trying to make sure I get everthing before I get into a truck.

    My 5th Wheel Puller
    Tandem Puller
    Duct Tape
    Elecrical Tape
    25' Tape Measure
    100' Tape Measure
    Hammer
    bunch of pliers all differant kinds
    Dyke
    Channel Locks
    Vice Grips
    Set of Wrenches (Standard)
    Set of screw drivers
    2 sets of allen wrenches 1 standard and 1 Metric
    Sissors
    Knife
    250 Piece Eletrical Connector set
    Wire Strippers
    Crimper
    500 Zip Tie set all differant Sizes and Colors (I use them ALL the Time)
    I'm sure I have more but thats all I can think of off hand. I've used most of this stuff in the month I've been on the road.....

    No 1 priority: a very good first aid kit with lots of bandaids. Over a year you will leave enough skin on that truck to make 2 midgets.:biggrin_2559:

    Shoulda seen that huge patch of flesh that I left on the stack! :biggrin_2556: (Stank to high heaven, too). Nice open burn on my arm and all. Sweetness.

    wow --now american trucker has a dyke in his truck as well---
    i only take my wife once in while---but as for dykes--i would like two not just one---and not the butchy looking ones either--

    ahhhhh --ok --yes a pretty good thing to have in the toolbox--good idea to have a few metric wrenches and sockets as well--for the engines-part metric ,part standard

    Thanks AT. I've been putting off finalizing my paperwork to WS. Hopefully in a week or two I'll be at Conover. Just getting things done around the homestead to make it easier for the misses and kids.
    Where did you get the 5th wheel puller from, and what about the tandem puller (where to get and how to use if you really do need one)? I have everything you mentioned and more already packed and ready to go. Thanks again for everything.
