    im learning all this stuff on my truck and I still aint figured out what is the itfa sticker and how often its updated.

    That's how you pay the fuel tax for the states that you drive in, and it is paid quarterly.

    IFTA.....It is a yearly fuel tax permit for all miles driven per state.

    Every January your company should get you by your terminal to get a new sticker.

    You get a new sticker AND a new copy of the IFTA registration for the new year. As a company driver at a company with satellite logging, the only thing you need to do is make sure you have current sticker and registration in the permit book. Without GPS logging such as Qualcomm, drivers must fill out a "trip sheet" that documents the truck's route so the office can calculate miles driven in each state for quarterly filing purposes and to support the numbers in an audit.
