So I'm looking to replace my 2001 Transcrap Due to it slowing rusting away and frame cracking all over. When I've had the time I have done a lil bit of research as far as different brands of trailers and their pros/cons etc etc So far I have settled between an used Fontaine & Reitnouer (Depeding Upon Price). I have an questions whats the difference between the Fontaine Revolution and Infinity line of trailers. Also whats the pros cons of All steel vs Combo vs All Aluminum? I have 8K cash looking to finance or lease. If anybody has any dealers that they deal with or could suggest that would be most helpful!![]()

I dont think you could go wrong with either one of those brands in my opinion. The biggest differences between all steel, combo and all aluminum are weight and money. All steel with apitong wood deck is going to be the heaviest of all 3 but is also the toughest. Combo is lighter in weight because of the decking. The aluminum deck can get pretty beat up . All Aluminum is the lightest and has a lot of great qualities. I have a 2010 Manac 53 ft slider stepdeck that is all steel with Apitong wood floor. I like it and it was a good price but I couldnt stop my drooling when I saw an all aluminum Big Bubba 48 ft step 3 axle that was all tricked out.
I think a good question may be what do you mainly haul now and are you going to do anything different in the future?volvodriver01, MackDaddyMark and SHC Thank this. -
Mainly steel beams, palletized flagstone, 20ft Containers here n there, Preformed Concrete Sections for storm water drainage here n there. But thats for right now. I applied for Mercer and got turned down for one ticket I have that will fall off this coming January so once I lease on with them Im sure I'll be hauling an wide variety of freight.

You might want to ask some questions of SHC about his Fontaine Trailer as Im pretty sure he likes it and hes pulled it long enough to figure out if theres something else about it he would like and of course the likes and dislikes of it. I do like the looks of that track system it has (for using chains) and I do like the bump rails and the decking. Its all aluminum. My trailer does everything I want but haul more than 46,000 lbs which I dont really want to do but sometimes theres a really good payiing regular load that I miss out on for a lousy 2000 lbs.

I do love the Revolution trailer. It is super light, and the 1 piece floor construction is very tough. I've had numerous idiot fork truck driver dive their forks into the deck and not yet has there been any holes. The rubrail is #### near indestructable and the floor chocks with the chain-pops are great (tho i only have 2 right now)
The only 3 things i would change would be a lift front axle, a dunnage rack and the pockets the straps run thru need to be rounded, tho a day with a file would cure that. But overall it is a great trailer and I will be ordering my very own come February when LS puts in another order for some comapny one's (I save about $6,000 by waiting and adding mine ot the order)Mommas_money_maker and MackDaddyMark Thank this. -
I watched their video about the rubrail looks pretty much indestructable..lol Do you the "turtles" as show in the video for coils? Do u have the revolution hybrid or all aluminum? Whats the hit on the bank account for a lift front axle? The right way not homemade and I'll settle with having the dunnage thru the landing gear thinking of welding some sort of dunnage holder on the front of my headache rack when I get around to getting one put onto my truck. Thanks for your Quick Reply

The Infinity is the regular style combo. My 2007 Renegade is losing paint from rust and I'm not too thrilled about looking to paint the frame. I don't see how to get over the fifth wheel bolster to sandblast and paint without taking the whole dang deck off. That's a lot of screws.

I love my 2006 Reinke combo. Can't begin to tell you how tough it is. Still looks good too! However I'm tradin er in on a 2013 Mac I just ordered. I'm sick of stressing about having to be at 1/4 fuel in order to net 48,000. I hate seeing fuel at a "Mom & Pop" for 15 cents cheaper than anywhere else and not dare top off because of weight. Bye Bye Reinke. If you have decent credit, your $8 K should be an ample down payment for anything you want.

It is an All Alumnium 52 model.
They do not offer a lift axle for the trailer, you will have to have it added later.
And you can only fit 3 4x4x8's in the landing gear.
I do not haul coils, but would not be afraid to use the "turtles" as they show. I've used mine for hauling humvee's and some other odd-ball stuff.
The weight saving is very nice tho. My truck weighs around 22,000# with my equipment and with this trailer, I can still legally scale 50k #'sThe Challenger Thanks this.
